Environment
Embraced by beautiful Gucheng Lake, Shijiu Lake and Youzi Mountain, Gaochun has long enjoyed the reputation of “Holy Land of South China”. Today, it has also won numerous honorable titles, including “a new lakeshore area with prominent ancient charms, bright ecological features and best living environment” in Nanjing, Nationally Designated Eco-Demonstration Region, State-level Hygiene City, National Outstanding County in Environmental Protection, National Outstanding City in Comprehensive Improvement of Urban Environment, and a Garden City of Jiangsu Province.
Recreation
The county boasts with recreation places such as culture square, shopping street gourmet street and shopping mall etc., sightseeing places including Gaochun Old Street, Mt. Youzi Scenic Area, Wangyu Island, and ecological adventure, as well as cultural and sports facilities including library, stadiums, and cultural centers, etc.
Accommodation
There is one five star hotel in Gaochun, dozens of four star and three star hotels, as well as a number of apartment and superior villas with beautiful environment and full facilities.
Medical Care
There are several hospitals in Nanjing city proper engaged in treatment for foreigners. Within the county, there is one big hospital and two medium-sized hospitals. A new hospital is under construction in the Development Zone, and it will provide green card service and one package service to patients.
Education
Education is well developed in Gaochun, with as many as 77 schools in different kinds and grades, including 1 four star ordinary high school, 1 three star ordinary high school, 1 national key vocational school, 7 provincial demonstration middle schools, 2 provincial experimental primary schools and 12 provincial excellent kindergartens. There are several international schools in Nanjing city proper, convenient for foreign students aged from 3 to 18.
